Why become a member?
WANTFA have a loyal membership base that has endured over 3 decades and are a part of the leaders in our agricultural industry.
WANTFA has satellite sites across the state which are funded by GRDC, DPIRD and industry sponsors. At these sites, trials aim to investigate and offer solutions to the barriers to adoption of various elements ofconservation farming systems. WANTFA extends research and increases farmer knowledge by:
- Holding annual events: field days, live demonstration days and conferences
- Publishing conservation farming information, and
- Providing regionally based activities: workshops, bus tours and training courses.

- Website – WANTFA’s recently revamped website is a source of information for members, hosting current and past research articles, soon to be released podcast episodes, other resources and a central point of contact.
- Event news – WANTFA & industry events will be publicized to all members.
- Podcast – WANTFA’s new podcast “This Farming Life” is in production and will be released to members in the coming weeks.
- Social media – connection with likeminded growers, researchers and industry, through WANTFA X & Facebook pages
Events
- Field Days – 2 x annual live machinery demonstration days, with accompanying workshop sessions on relevant topics, funded by GRDC.
- Conference discount – WANTFA conferences to be held every second year.
- Workshops – member only in person workshops with focused topic based of member feedback.
Publications
- Newsletter articles – Bi-monthly e-newsletter based on “topic of the month” or case study.
- Journal – 1 magazine per year with a set publishing date with research findings for the year.
Support
- Opportunity to join WANTFA sub-committees and have input into the direction of specific areas e.g. research, field days, conferences etc.
Membership Pricing
The WANTFA staff & board are in the process of developing a refreshed membership plan to ensure that we continue to offer value to our members, with some exciting developments in the pipeline.
Membership pricing is currently as follows:
- WA Membership – $299/year incl GST
- Interstate Membership – $132/year incl GST
