WANTFA are hosting our annual Spring Field Day at our main trial site in Cunderdin, on Wednesday 9th September 2015 from 10:30am.
Registrations open at 9:30 am and this event is FREE to all members. Non-members $50 incl GST. Door prizes to be won !
Topics will include:
Early Sowing opportunities, Oats Agronomy, Barley Agronomy, Barley and Wheat Disease, Canola Hybrid Technology, Carbon Farming Opportunities.
- CSIRO – Early sown winter and spring wheats for opportunistic wet sowing.
- CSIRO- Nutrient responses: Wheat after wheat versus wheat after Canola.
- WANTFA – Small Farm Dry Seeding demo – 24 times of sowing wheat and canola.
- Bayer – Control of spot form net blotch through soil and foliar fungicides in La Trobe barley.
- DAFWA – Retaining F2 and F3 hybrid seed in low rainfall areas: Can increased seed rates, grading or using mixes overcome lack of hybrid vigour in F2 and F3 seed ?
- KALYX – Wheat and Canola NVT’s.

The Annual WANTFA AGM will take place on the same day, and will be held during the lunch break. All WANTFA members are encouraged to attend.
