REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE WANTFA 20TH ANNIVERSARY DINNER

To celebrate 20 years of WANTFA, a gala dinner will be held on March 20 at Tompkins on Swan in Alfred Cove, Perth with talks from keynote speakers, including growers, researchers and employees who have been integral to our past and future to mark the occasion.

This event is being held the evening before the WA Farmers conference marking the 100th year of the farmer to
enable attendees to travel to Perth for both events.

WANTFA is calling on all past committee members to attend the dinner as your input has been fundamental to the shaping of the association over the years. We also ask our members past and present and non-members and industry to come along to celebrate this momentous occasion with us.

Welcome to WANTFA

Pioneers and Leaders in Conservation Agriculture

The Western Australian No-Tillage Farmers Association (WANTFA) is driving adoption of sustainable and profitable broad acre cropping systems by sharing farmer experiences and innovations from our research and field trials.

WANTFA is the largest agronomic grower group in Western Australia. We support the adoption of sustainable and profitable broadacre cropping systems by sharing grower experiences and innovative research. Formed in 1992, WANTFA was built on the ethic of grower helping growers. It is the only WA group that solely focuses on conservation agriculture (no-tillage and zero-tillage).  WANTFA endorses farming practices that support the following principles:

  • Limited soil disturbance,
  • Permanent ground cover,
  • Diverse rotations, and
  • Reduced compaction.

WANTFA operates with the support and assistance from the Grains and Research Development Corporation (GRDC), Australian Government, Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF), corporate sponsors, events income and membership fees. WANTFA is a member of the Conservation Agriculture Alliance of Australia and New Zealand (CAAANZ).
